On March 15, we recognize International Long COVID Awareness Day and honor those living with Long COVID. Long COVID can affect people of all ages, from babies to teenagers and adults. This day highlights the importance of understanding the many long-term effects of COVID-19 and the challenges faced by those affected.
On this day, it is important to listen to their lived experiences—coping with uncertainty, adjusting to life changes, and finding support within their communities. At RECOVER, we stand with our participants and appreciate their dedication to this study, especially because having Long COVID can make participation difficult.
To raise awareness, RECOVER features experiences from participants, resources from advocacy groups, and educational materials in newsletters and our website. We provide information on pediatric Long-COVID, post-exertional malaise (PEM), and our ongoing research about Long COVID.
Together, we can amplify voices and push for more research and support. Every voice strengthens International Long COVID Awareness Day and helps drive more awareness and research.
