We have exciting news to share! On December 31, 2024, RECOVER finished enrolling all children and teens needed for the pediatric cohort.

We completed enrollment for adults and pregnant women at the end of 2023. Now, the RECOVER study has all the people we need!* This is a big accomplishment and an important step forward in Long COVID research.

We want to thank everyone who helped make this happen:

  • Site staff who worked hard to find, support, and guide participants.
  • Doctors and researchers who carefully planned and led the study.
  • Patient, Caregiver, and Community Representatives who shared their stories, thoughts, and ideas that helped us better understand how Long COVID affects people’s daily lives.
  • Families and participants who joined the study—because of you, RECOVER can make important discoveries that will help others.

Even though we’re done signing up new people, our work isn’t finished. Researchers will continue studying Long COVID with information from your study visits and tests. By looking at information from children, adults, and pregnant women, researchers can better understand what might lead to Long COVID, look for new ways to treat it, and find ways to stop people from getting it. This research will help doctors take better care of everyone in the future.

Thank you for being part of this historic journey. Together, we are making a real difference for the future of Long COVID research and care!
