The DHP has given RECOVER a lot of information on the changes that can happen in a person with Long COVID.
The program looked for changes in activity, heart rate when resting, and heart rate during activity. Now, leaders of the RECOVER study have decided that resources that would have been used on the DHP should be used on other studies, like ones that can learn about treating Long COVID.
The DHP will keep collecting digital health information until April 7, 2025. After that date, DHP participants can still use their Fitbit and the MyDataHelps app to track their activity and symptoms, but this information will no longer be sent to RECOVER. It’s important that DHP participants keep wearing their device to help us get as much information as possible before the program ends.
This does not mean that RECOVER is over. DHP participants should keep going to their regular visits and completing their surveys. Click here to check out our FAQ or email us at RECOVER_CSC@nyulangone.org for quick answers.
